General Liability for contractors
General liability is the foundational contractor policy — and the most frequently misunderstood. This course covers what it actually covers, what the exclusions hide, and how to read your policy before a claim happens.

What it covers
- Third-party bodily injury at your jobsite
- Property damage caused by your work
- Completed operations — claims arising after job completion
- Personal and advertising injury (defamation, copyright)
- Defense costs for covered claims (outside limits on occurrence forms)
- Additional insured endorsements for GCs and owners
Who it’s for
- All contractors — GL is universally required
- Subcontractors needing to meet GC insurance requirements
- Contractors working on commercial or public projects
- Anyone with employees or crews working at client sites
Why CCA
- Specialist GL markets for all contractor trades
- Completed operations included — not sold separately
- AI endorsements, waivers, and P&NC language same-day
- 15-minute quotes across A+ rated markets
